Diana Banks joined Utell on 14 May 2007 as the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing. Bank’s focus is to lead the sales, marketing and e-commerce teams worldwide on behalf of the Utell portfolio of properties and develop opportunities, strategic alliances and partnerships for Utell Hotels & Resorts.

Part of Bank’s remit will also be to ensure top-of-mind awareness for the Utell Collections, grouping Luxury, Boutique, Golf and Spa hotels, which were launched in March 2007 as part of the Utell segmentation strategy with Utell Business and Utell Meeting Collections soon to follow.

Joining Utell, Banks brings over 30 years of hospitality experience with notable expertise in hotel sales, marketing and operations. Most recently, Banks served as director of sales and marketing for the Langham Hotel, London where she spearheaded the drive to develop the hotel’s business strategy under the Langham branding.

Banks’ distinguished career in hospitality also includes the launch of The Grove in Hertfordshire where she spent two years helping to create a profile for the 227 bedroom golf and spa hotel working on the hotel’s brand launch, identity, brand propositions.

Banks has also held senior management posts at Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc, Edwardian Hotels and Rank Hotels and speaks fluent French and Italian.
